Kent wedding photographer / Gravesend wedding photographer / Kent cake smash photography / Kent cake smash photographer
My bluebell photo sessions take place in Kent, England. Please message me for dates or to book.
Bluebells make a beautiful backdrop and my mini sessions are the perfect opportunity to update your family photos.
Usually Bluebells bloom at the end of April and last until the end of May but a mild winter has brought them out a little early this year and people have been sighting bluebells in bloom as early as March.
What do I wear for my bluebell session?
Clothing is important to make the most of your photos. For bluebell photo sessions I recommend white, pale blue, navy and denim as the best colours. For children a white dress or a white / blue top and jeans is a perfect combination. Where possible families should be wearing similar colours and tones but not identical.
I suggest avoiding bright contrasting colours (e.g pink, red or yellow) and also avoiding purple as it can be too similar to the colour of the bluebells. Finally, I advise also avoiding large logos, character t-shirts and large patterns and stripes where possible.
Keeping the kids happy...
Photo sessions are not always a fun idea for children, so it may be a suggestion to say you are going for a walk in the woods, going on a bear hunt or to look for bugs etc. (whatever they like.) Children always react differently in these situations and I will always do my best to get photos of them you will love.... even if I have to make silly noises, sing and / or bribe!
How long will my session last?
Mini sessions have 20 minutes of photography time and are spaced 30 minutes apart, therefore I have to keep to rigid time scales so please arrive promptly for your session.
- Full directions and instructions of where to meet will always be a sent out a 5-7 days before your photo session.
What happens if there is bad weather?
Inevitably being a photographer in England sometimes we have bad weather. If it is chilly with light wind or rain I will usually continue. If there is very strong wind and gust or heavy rain I will be forced to re-schedule. Normally for the following week. If anyone is unable to make the re-scheduled date(s) a refund will be provided of their deposit.
All of the above information about what to wear is for advice only. The most important thing is that you and your children feel happy and confident in what you are wearing and how you are posing. It is YOUR session and the photos will show if you are not relaxed and enjoying it so feel free to wear whatever makes you feel most comfortable.
Please come to me at any time with any questions you have regarding your sessions.
I look forward to meeting you!!
